Our Story
From a passion to a global vision.
Our founder, Önder Akyazıcı, is an interior architect who has spent years working at the intersection of coffee, hospitality, and technology — focusing on concept design, user experience, and branding. Throughout his career, he designed not only the spaces of hotels, restaurants, and cafés, but also the end-to-end relationship between guests and service. These efforts made him the first interior architect in Turkey to win an award at the A'Design Award & Competition in the coffee sector.
This journey showed him one clear truth: a great service experience only makes sense when design, operations, and technology work together. His entrepreneurial experience in the coffee sector — and the subsequent exit — revealed that scaling quality and experience is impossible unless they become sustainable. With this insight, he founded Thud E-Robotics in 2024.
Thud E-Robotics
At the core of Thud E-Robotics are physical AI solutions that can scale human craftsmanship through technology. We develop systems that learn human movements, reflexes, and fine motor skills through sensors, then process this data with AI to transfer it into robotic systems.
In short, we teach robots the mastery that humans build over years. The first tangible product of this fully domestic R&D-driven technology is X Barista. For us, a robot is not a machine that replaces humans — it is a technology that multiplies human craftsmanship.
From hardware design to AI algorithms, from cloud software to embedded systems, all components are developed with 100% domestic engineering at Boğaziçi Technopark.
